In Passing is a self-portrait of a life in transition, exploring fragmented memory, belonging, and the attempt to start over. After moving to London, Emre works in cafés to make a living while his marriage dissolves and his career and identity shift. To cope with uncertainty, he practices “safe space” exercises but a recurring figure disrupts these moments and deepens his sense of alienation.
Moving through cities, cafés and the filmmaker’s inner world, the film unfolds as a visual journal of building a new life. People come and go, and routine carries on. The film traces how places change, how connections form and unravel, and how a sense of belonging shifts over time.
